CIVILIZATION V/S NATURE

Monsoon is a season which is loved by some and some crib about it not because it’s bad, but because of the after effects that it comes with. One of the most relevant after-effects of the rain is water-logging. Rain also brings with it freshness in the nature. Flowers, trees etc seems as if they had a bath like us and now all cleansed without any dirt on their leafs. Nature offers so much to us. All that we need, to live a healthy and comfortable life comes from nature. But question yourself how much actually we respect nature’s giving and give her back something worth?
We now hardly get to see a road or a colony that has beautiful greenery around, all we see is GREY FOREST i.e. an area or city or even a street is just surrounded with huge buildings and roads to travel on. We all are left with only one motive in life, which is to gain all the materialistic things that can get us fame and name in the world. We all are running in same direction, ignoring what we are doing to the things that are with us since we are born.
We call ourselves a civilized human being, but how many of us has sincerely acted as one? I don’t think many. We throw trash wherever we feel like, even if there are dustbins, many of us are too lazy to go and dump the trash in the dustbin. We must have faced a lot of times problem of water-logging and it gets worst if some drainage gets block and coming out on road and for us, it is so easy to blame on government for not being concerned and not working properly. But have we thought that somewhere we are to be blamed as well? We throw plastics, papers etc in our flush and drainage nearby, which block the sewer. We crib about HOT days but we know it’s because of global warming and we know the reasons for global warming as well but, do we do something about it? No.
We cry our lungs out complaining of the scarcity of water, whereas we are the one who waste it the most. No one among us try to harvest rain water. Have we thought even once about those for whom even a drop of water is as important as our ANDROID PHONES. Yes, it is not possible to compare a natural and technology things together but this is how we treat things in our life. We place technology over nature. Our money, our furniture, our food, everything comes from nature and now we are at a stage that we get most of our food which is grown, with the help of chemicals, which is not natural and are harmful for us. Who is to be blamed? Whoever, but we all know even we are responsible.
So, by the end of it we know, though we are ELITE and WELL EDUCATED, we all are busy in making our lives better and better but no one among us have taken steps individually to make our surroundings and situations better. Thanks to the NGO’s who are taking steps to make our country better in terms of greenery and also helps those who are not as privileged as we are.
